Payment & Security
Payment channels, authorization, verification, refund routing and precautions for secure checkout.
Payment methods
Melverna may offer the following methods when displayed at checkout:
Availability varies by country, region, device, browser, currency, provider eligibility and current configuration. Listing a method does not guarantee that it appears for every customer or that every transaction will be approved.
PayPal authorization
If offered, PayPal may redirect you or open a secure approval window. PayPal controls account eligibility, funding sources and authorization under its own terms. We receive the information needed to process the order but not your PayPal password.
Credit and debit cards
Eligible Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards may be accepted when shown. Issuers may require additional authentication, approve or decline a transaction, or place a temporary authorization hold. Accurate cardholder and billing information is required.
Accelerated checkout
Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay may use saved contact, delivery and payment information and may require a compatible device, browser and eligible account. Review the products, quantities, shipping address and total before approving payment.
Authorization and order acceptance
A submitted payment may be reserved before settlement. We generally receive payment status and limited transaction information rather than complete credentials. A checkout confirmation does not prevent cancellation where payment cannot be verified, inventory is unavailable, fraud is suspected or pricing contains an obvious error.
Safeguards and customer precautions
The store uses Shopify commerce infrastructure, encrypted connections and established providers. No system can guarantee absolute security. Customers should use updated devices, avoid untrusted networks and confirm they are visiting melverna.com before entering information.
Fraud prevention
Orders may be reviewed for billing mismatches, repeated attempts, unusual quantities, shipping risks or automated signals. We may request limited confirmation but will not request passwords, complete security codes or one-time authentication codes.
Taxes and provider fees
Checkout shows the transaction currency and applicable charges. Banks and payment providers may impose conversion, cross-border or other fees that are not set or retained by Melverna.
Declined, pending or duplicate attempts
A transaction may fail due to incorrect information, insufficient funds, issuer restrictions, authentication failure or provider controls. Repeated attempts can create temporary pending authorizations. Contact the provider if a valid method remains declined.
Original payment method
Approved refunds are normally submitted to the original PayPal account, card or underlying wallet method. We cannot ordinarily redirect funds to another channel. After submission, the provider controls posting time and treatment of replaced cards or currency conversion.
Protect the account
Contact the relevant provider immediately if you believe a charge was unauthorized, then notify us with the order number, date and amount. Do not send complete financial credentials.
Accurate information is required
The purchaser must provide a name, billing address, contact information and other details that match the requirements of the selected provider. A delivery address may differ from the billing address, but a material mismatch can trigger additional review. We may ask the purchaser to confirm limited order information or may cancel the transaction if verification cannot be completed.
Do not attempt to avoid provider controls by entering false details, dividing one purchase across multiple identities or repeatedly resubmitting a declined transaction. These actions can create multiple temporary holds and may delay fulfillment while records are reviewed.
Pending holds, capture and settlement
An authorization confirms that funds or credit may be available; it is not always the final settled charge. Depending on the provider and order workflow, funds may be captured at checkout, when fulfillment begins or at another disclosed stage. A bank can display a pending authorization even if an order is later declined or cancelled.
Release time for an unused authorization is controlled by the card issuer, PayPal or wallet provider and may differ from the time required for a refund after settlement. Melverna cannot manually remove a provider hold, but customer service can confirm the order status so the provider can investigate.
Additional authentication and order review
A provider may request a one-time challenge, biometric approval, account login or another authentication step. Complete that step only within the provider’s secure interface. Melverna customer service will never ask a customer to disclose a card security code, password, recovery phrase or one-time authentication code by telephone, email or message.
For a higher-risk order, we may pause fulfillment while checking transaction consistency. Verification is not an accusation; it is a precaution intended to reduce unauthorized purchases, protect customers and limit misuse of payment channels. If reasonable verification cannot be completed, the order may be cancelled and any captured amount returned through the original channel.
Changes, partial fulfillment and promotions
If an item becomes unavailable, an approved cancellation occurs or only part of an order can be fulfilled, we may void the relevant authorization or issue a partial refund. The payment statement may show the original pending amount, a revised captured amount and a later release as separate entries for a short period.
Discounts, taxes and shipping charges are allocated according to checkout records and applicable law. When a returned product was part of a multi-item offer, the refund may reflect the value of items kept and the promotion’s disclosed conditions. Customer service will not increase a charge or substitute a product without appropriate authorization.
Recognizing a transaction
The descriptor shown on a bank, PayPal or wallet statement may use the store, payment processor or legal business name and can be abbreviated by the provider. Before reporting an unfamiliar charge, compare its date and amount with order confirmation emails and purchases placed by an authorized household member.
If the charge still appears unfamiliar, contact the payment provider promptly and notify Melverna at service@melverna.com or +8615611281016. Include only the order number, date, amount and a safe description of the concern. Never email a complete card number or image containing all financial credentials.
Information handled by providers
Shopify and payment providers process credentials needed to complete transactions under their own security and privacy responsibilities. Melverna generally receives identifiers, limited billing details, authorization status, fraud indicators and the information required to connect payment with an order, refund or dispute.
We may retain transaction records for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, customer support, chargeback response and legal obligations. Retention does not mean that Melverna stores complete card numbers or provider passwords. For more information about categories of personal information and customer rights, review the Privacy Policy.
Chargebacks and payment-provider claims
Before filing a dispute, contact us when reasonably possible so we can identify the transaction and review delivery, product or refund concerns. A dispute filed with a provider is governed by that provider’s process and may require us to submit order confirmation, tracking, correspondence and return records.
Do not seek both a direct refund and a provider reversal for the same amount. If a dispute is already open, the provider may control how the matter must be resolved. Nothing in this section prevents a customer from exercising a lawful payment or consumer right.
Changes to payment channels
PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay are listed because they may be supported by the storefront, but a provider can limit or discontinue availability based on region, device, currency, risk review or technical status. Only the methods visible at the live checkout can be selected for that transaction.
We may add, remove or temporarily suspend a method without changing obligations for an already accepted order. Payment logos and names identify third-party services and do not mean those providers sponsor Melverna or guarantee its products.
How to ask about a payment
For payment support, provide the order number, purchaser name, transaction date, amount and the last four digits only if needed to distinguish between cards. Do not send screenshots that expose complete credentials. Melverna can review the store-side order status, while the issuing bank, PayPal or wallet provider controls account access, approval rules and posting timelines.
Payment approval relates only to the transaction. It does not confirm product compatibility with a particular garment or fabric and does not authorize merchandise to be returned to the registered business address.
